Catching up

So I have totally been neglecting my blog. My mom told me today that I need to update it so this is for her.

My mom bought Tickets to Kenny for Me and my sisters Birthday, It was Awesome! My camera changed settings on me at the concert and I couldn't fix it and miss the show, so I only have daytime pictures and none of him. :(

I turned 25 last month. Woot Woot. Now I doon't need any more birthdays. I had a small Bbq with my family and a couple friends, it was nice. I took pictures but my camera was still on the setting which makes everything blurry if you aren't completly still taking the picture.

Last weekend I went to Keys On Main in Salt lake for a friends Birthday. It was really cool. It's a piano bar and they play any song you request and sing it too. They will stop playing and singing the song if you tip them more money then the person did to request it. Makes it a lot of fun. It was a good time.



Besides all that I haven't been doing much besides Coupon Shopping and helping my sister with our Coupon blog. Check it out Here. She does so much work on it. I usually just put my 2 cents in. The pay off

Finding deals and cutting coupons can be time consuming but is so worth it. I have been clipping coupons for over a month now and I love it! It is so much fun having a grocery cart full of stuff and only paying $30 or less usually. Today I went to Target and got an Intuition razor for .99, Also a bag of Hershey's Bliss chocolates for .99. At Albertsons I got 10 Kraft bbq sauces for .54 for all of them plus I received a $3.00 Catalina Coupon good for my next purchase. I then made another transaction buying 10 3-pack treetop juice boxes for a total of $2.30. I'm gonna try and explain how I used the coupons to get everything for so cheap. I did not get everything in the pictures today. It's to show you what I have collected over the last month. All the Deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, hand soap, lotion and shaving cream I bought for less than $1 each. The Kotex, Kitten Chow, Vitamin Water, Capri Suns and Johnson's buddies soap I got for free.

Intuition Razor: Sale $6.99
I used the online Target coupon for $2 off and then I used a coupon for $4 off out of the Sundays coupons.

Hershey's Bliss Chocolates: $2.99
I used the online target coupon for $1 off and I used a $1 off coupon from Smart Source 5/3 ( so just this weeks coupons)

Kraft Bbq Sauce: 10 for $10
They had a promo when spending $10 you save $3 at the register making them .70 each. I used 9 .75 off coupons out of the 5/3 ss(smart source)coupons. I could have used 10 coupons but it would have made it so I would have to buy something else to keep them from paying me since they won't do that anyways. After paying I received a $3.00 off catalina coupon on my next purchase. Catalina coupon: this prints out at smiths and albertsons separate from your receipt. Always check for them, you never know when they will print out.

I then purchased the 10 Treetop juice boxes: $1.00 each
I used a Manufacture coupon that was buy 2 and save $1.00 making them .50 each. My total came to $5 and then I used the 5 coupons for $1.00 off 2 and then I used my $3.00 Catalina making my total $2.30

Most stores will accept their own store coupon and a Manufacturers coupon. Don't buy something just because you have a coupon, or you'll spend more. Go for smaller items. Don't buy the bulk of it cuz you have a coupon. You save more on the smaller item. Use coupons on trial sizes. It will say on the coupon if you can't. I use the website grocerysmarts.com I use the passport abc4,this site will show you what is on sale and what coupons you need. Start getting multiple Sundays papers. Make sure you mark them with the date that you got them so it's easier to locate coupons. This all might seem like a bunch of rambling but I'm just trying to throw some tips in there. Coupons

So recently I have been Wanting to get into the coupon world. I have a lady that is gonna help me next Thursday with all the lingo and how to watch for sales to maximize savings with coupons. My sister is going to do it with me and I'm trying to get my mom to look into it too. Who wouldn't want to save booku bucks on groceries? I Just saved 52% on my latest trip to Smiths. I got 7 4-roll Cottonelle toilet paper for $3.50 (saved $3.50), 8 Packages of 30ct Halls cough drops for free ($2.19 each), Almay Eyeshadow for $3.75 (USUALLY $7.49). It was a great trip! I ended up spending about $24.84. I did buy other items not on sale, with no coupons. :( Boo! I saved $19.58 in coupons! My Total Before coupons was $43.82. I think I did pretty good my first time with no help. Yay! Plus I got the 5 cent reward fore gas though I only paid $24.84 out of pocket. This is so exciting! I'm stoked about building a food storage. That is my main goal plus getting things for free. I'm sure I will be posting more about my savings, I Hope it inspires everyone to start doing this. Back to Work for good.... I hope

Wow... I am so SORE. I have been off work since December 18th and this is my second week back. I worked the week of January 26th And now this week will be the second week. It is so hard from working 40 hour weeks to having almost 2 months off and then going back. I was so excited to go back to work this week and now I don't know why I was so anxious to get back. My feet hurt so bad. I'm sure they will hurt all week and I'm not looking forward to it. I must say that I am very glad to be back working for the fact that I know I still have a job. My work Laid off 150 employees in the last two weeks and made almost another 150 take a furlough and claim Unemployment for the next 3 months. I'm glad that at this point my 6 1/2 years of working there has made it semi safe for me. I'm thankful for my job just not excited about being sore for the next couple of days.
